‘Vrien­de­lijk­heid, behulp­zaam­heid en gastvrij­heid op de EHC’

Jeanet Heinen is de nieuwste aanwinst van het team voor de Energy & Health Campus. Zij vervult de rol van commu­ni­ca­tie­co­ör­di­nator. ‘We willen ervoor zorgen dat de buiten­we­reld nog beter weet welke bedrijven er op de campus werken aan baanbre­kende onder­zoeken en ontwik­ke­lingen op farma­ceu­tisch en energie­ge­bied en hoe interes­sant het kan zijn om met deze campus verbonden te zijn.’

Een toegan­ke­lijke campus

Jeanet geeft commu­ni­ca­tie­ad­vies en ‑onder­steu­ning gericht op de ambities van de campus voor de komende tijd. ‘Ik ga een commu­ni­ca­tie­plan maken en zorgen voor de uitvoe­ring ervan. Ook coördi­neer ik het commu­ni­ca­tie­overleg met de partners op de campus. De afgelopen tijd heeft de focus logischer­wijze wat meer gelegen op interne commu­ni­catie en de onder­linge relaties tussen medewer­kers van de bedrijven die op de campus werken. We kijken steeds meer naar buiten om meer verbin­dingen van binnen met de wereld buiten te leggen en verste­vigen. Er zal veel aandacht uitgaan naar de relatie met het onder­wijs en de arbeids­markt. De EHC groeit in bedrij­vig­heid en dat vraagt onder andere om meer medewer­kers. Naar buiten toe willen we laten zien hoe leuk en interes­sant het is om op de campus te werken. Ik ben zelf positief verrast door de vrien­de­lijk­heid, behulp­zaam­heid en gastvrij­heid op de EHC. We onder­zoeken mogelijk­heden om de toegan­ke­lijk­heid van de campus, waar het kan, laagdrem­pe­liger te maken.’

Het Experience Center: een belang­rijke trekpleister

Jeanet is pas gestart met haar werk voor de Energy & Health Campus en doet dit momen­teel twee dagen per week. Ze werkt samen met Hesther Bouma en Wendy van den Noord aan de ambities en uitvoe­rings­agenda. ‘Een belang­rijk onder­deel is het Experience Center, waaraan momen­teel gewerkt wordt. Dat wordt een interes­sante trekpleister voor mensen van buitenaf. Zij kunnen straks het Experience Center bezoeken en zelf ervaren wat er op de campus gebeurt en hoe (inter)nationaal al deze bedrijven samen­werken. Ook blijven we energieke en gezel­lige events organi­seren voor de medewer­kers op de campus om de onder­linge relaties te behouden en versterken.’

Neder­landse trots

Als zelfstan­dige in het commu­ni­ca­tievak werkt Jeanet ook als trainer op het gebied van servi­ce­ge­richt commu­ni­ceren op de werkvloer en als NLP-trainer (Neuro Lingu­ïs­tisch Program­meren). Ze werkt ook voor gemeenten aan diverse opdracht in het sociaal domein en ruimte­lijke ordening. Ze heeft twee kinder­kle­ding­win­kels met haar dochter en heeft met haar partner op het vlieg­veld van Texel een hangaar gebouwd voor onder­houd, stalling en handel. ‘Ik heb een achter­grond in marke­ting en commu­ni­catie. Bij de KLM werkte ik op de marke­ting- en commu­ni­ca­tie­af­de­ling, voorna­me­lijk voor de helikop­tertak die jaren­lang in Den Helder opera­ti­o­neel was. Dat is mijn Neder­landse trots. Lucht­vaart is een passie van mij.’

Iedereen brengt iets waarde­vols in

Jeanet is een echte netwerker en verbinder. ‘Wat ik het leukste vind aan mijn werk is de samen­wer­king, het samen doen. Ik geloof erin dat als je goed luistert naar andere mensen en construc­tief met elkaar kijkt naar de beste, gezamen­lijke uitkomst, dat je het hoogst haalbare bereikt. Iedereen brengt iets waarde­vols in. Dat vind ik leuk aan dit team waarin ik nu werk: we beseffen allemaal dat we het met zijn drieën niet redden en dat alle partijen die op de campus werken nodig zijn om van onze plannen een succes te kunnen maken en duurzame verbin­dingen aan te kunnen gaan met externe partners.’

‘Friend­liness, helpful­ness and hospi­ta­lity at the EHC’

Jeanet Heinen is the latest addition to the team for the Energy & Health Campus. She holds the position of commu­ni­ca­tions coordi­nator. ‘We want to make sure that the outside world has a clearer idea of the compa­nies on this campus that are working on ground-breaking research and devel­op­ments in the pharma­ceu­tical and energy fields and how interes­ting it can be to be connected to this campus.’

An acces­sible campus

Jeanet gives commu­ni­ca­tion advice and support focused on the campus’s ambitions for the coming period. ‘I’ll draw up a commu­ni­ca­tions plan and ensure its imple­men­ta­tion. I also coordi­nate commu­ni­ca­tion meetings with partners on campus. Recently, the focus has naturally been a bit more on internal commu­ni­ca­tion and the relati­ons­hips between employees of the compa­nies working on campus. We are incre­a­singly focusing outward to establish and streng­then more connec­tions from within the campus with the outside world. There will be much atten­tion for the relati­onship with educa­tion and the labor market. The EHC is expan­ding its activi­ties, and that requires more employees, among other things. We want to show the outside world how fun and interes­ting it is to work on this campus. I myself have been positi­vely surprised by the friend­liness, helpful­ness, and hospi­ta­lity at the EHC. We are explo­ring oppor­tu­ni­ties to increase the acces­si­bi­lity of the campus where possible.’

The Experience Center: a major attraction

Jeanet has only just started working for the Energy & Health Campus and currently does so two days a week. She works together with Hesther Bouma and Wendy van den Noord on the ambitions and imple­men­ta­tion agenda. ‘An impor­tant part is the Experience Center, which is currently being worked on. It will be an interes­ting attrac­tion for people from outside. They will soon be able to visit the Experience Center and experience for themselves what happens on campus and how (inter)nationally all these compa­nies work together. We’ll also continue to organize energi­zing and fun events for the employees on campus to maintain and streng­then inter­per­sonal relationships.’

Dutch pride

Self-employed in the commu­ni­ca­tion profes­sion, Jeanet also works as a trainer on service-oriented commu­ni­ca­tion in the workplace and as an NLP trainer (Neuro Linguistic Program­ming). She also works for munici­pa­li­ties on various assign­ments in the social domain and spatial planning. She runs two children’s clothing shops with her daughter and has built a hangar with her partner at Texel Inter­na­ti­onal Airport for maintenance, storage, and trading. ‘I have a background in marke­ting and commu­ni­ca­tions. At KLM, I worked in the marke­ting and commu­ni­ca­tions depart­ment, mainly for the helicopter branch that has been opera­ti­onal in Den Helder for many years. That’s my Dutch pride. Aviation is a passion of mine.’

Everyone brings something valuable to the table

Jeanet is a true networker and connector. ‘What I enjoy most about my work is the colla­bo­ra­tion, doing it together. I believe that by liste­ning carefully to others and working together construc­ti­vely towards the best, joint outcome, we will achieve the highest possible results. Everyone brings something valuable to the table. That’s what I like about this team I’m working in now: we all realize that we can’t make it with just the three of us, and that all parties working on campus are needed to make our plans a success and establish sustai­nable connec­tions with external partners.’
