A special experience center will be built close to campus. Visitors can ‘learn by experiencing’ about the themes of water management, energy transition and nuclear medicine.

The theme of the first Meet & Eat is a sneak peak of the brand new experience center! Be one of the first to get to know this special experience center during your lunch break.. Register immediately below! The arrival of the experience center will fulfil a long-held wish: the creation of an open, accessible place in Petten where we can show everyone what the organisations between the fences on campus are inventing and carrying out in the field of nuclear medicine and energy transition. The experience center will be close to the Energy & Health Campus at a site near the newly to be realised Leisure and Business Resort Corfwater in the Pettemer dunes.

Guest speaker: Paul van der Drift — experience designer
On Tuesday, May 30, Paul van der Drift, experience designer at Sandenburg-DST, will tell a fascinating story about the background and purpose of the designs for the spaces in which visitors will soon be able to experience all kinds of things about the socially important themes of water management, energy transition and nuclear medicine.
He also gives an insight into his designs.

Urgente social issues

Water management, energy transition, and nuclear medicine are important themes that have been of great significance to Petten and the region of Noord-Holland for decades. In nuclear medicine, nuclear pharmaceuticals are made that are vital for many. Every day, more than 30,000 patients worldwide with cancer and cardiovascular diseases are helped with medical isotopes from Petten. In the field of energy transition, groundbreaking research is being done on the green, smart, and safe energy mix of the future in solar, electricity, biofuel, hydrogen, batteries, and nuclear power. For centuries, water management has been a topic of high urgency for Petten and the whole of Noord-Holland, with the coastal reinforcement Petten-Camperduin as a recent project example.

Initiators experience center
Initiators for the experience center are the Energy & Health Campus, NRG|PALLAS, Joint Research Centre of the European Commission, TNO and Hoogheemraadschap Hollands Noorderkwartier.
In cooperation with the municipality of Schagen and Corfwater.
Recently, all parties signed a cooperation agreement making the arrival of a new experience center in Petten a reality.

Registration is NOT possible anymore, we are full.
